Happy New Year!

No, I am not crazy. And I looked into calendar before writing. But yesterday it was really New Year. Though not the usual one, but the New Year of Wine. It’s called Beaujolais Nouveau – the feast of new wine.

It is amazing how smart are some businessmen transform demerits to merits. It would seem that nothing can be done with wine which loses its charm within the short period of time? Just abandon it and that’s all! And prefer more perspective and stable sorts.

But wine-makers of France do not think like this! After estimating the obvious advantages of Beaujolais wine – it ripens faster than others and has the magnificent taste during its “youth” – they decided to create a feast – New Wine Year in order to celebrate the start of new “life” for the wines of each harvest.

I am thinking – how about getting our jollies the next year? I think about making a merry feast in the best traditions of French wine-makers. But for now there are only plans – today you can just come to us for Beaujolais!
