HistoryIn 1993 company Drive-in (future corporation Resta) for the first time has showed itself in sphere of public catering of Ukraine. The network of pizzerias Pan-pizza has been created. But it was only the beginning. Founders did not wish to stop on what they have achieved. They dreamed to open restaurants which will not have rivals in Ukraine in conceptuality and style. And they have achieved it. 1998
The beginning of story lays far in August of 1998. After some arrangements with the owner of a premise of juice bar in the shop "Vegetables and Fruits", company "Drive-in" has opened small restaurant with tex-mex cuisine called "Steakhouse". Primary amount of landing places - 35. The atmosphere of the hall has been sustained in style "European country". Approximately in 6 months after opening improbable popularity of a theme and restaurant has been noted, and the decision on reconstruction was accepted. As a result the amount of landing places has increased up to 60 due to construction of a small verandah at the corner of Deribasovskaya and Gavannaya streets. 2000
In 2000 the verandah has been prolonged for 15 meters to the right from an entrance. The premise of shop with 90 meters of approximate area has been additionally attached to restaurant. And, due to all changes, hundred more landing places has appeared. In the end of 2000 a verandah was glazed and it has allowed to receive visitors there also during winter time. 2002
In 2002, in 4 years after opening the interior and the menu of restaurant were somehow modernized. The name of restaurant was also specified. Now it began to refer to "Steakhouse. Meat and Wine". As a result of last reconstruction there was also one more necessary component of restaurant added - toilets (And what toilets! Believe me, it is worth separate visiting) before the securities saw off visitors in a toilet through street in shop. But even such extreme conditions could not prevent promptly growing popularity of restaurant. 2003
In 2003 the first holiday of Toscana cuisine - Festa di cucina Toscana was carried out. Initially it was planned as single event. However subsequently the plans have changed. Lively and playful Toscana was very much attractive for odessites. It has been decided to transform the Italian holiday into tradition. 2005In 2005 on the next Toscana holiday Romina has appeared for the first time - a statue of the cow full-scale which became a symbol of restaurant Steakhouse.Meat and Wine. And then even so-called original sight of Deribasovskaya. 2006
In 2006 one more hall on 30 landing places has been added to a premise of restaurant. Especially for pure connoisseurs of wines a hall called WineRoom has opened. The key moments in design – warm terracotta and wooden shades, soft light, a show-window of matte glass, the Italian armchairs and leather sofas. And the main thing is a rich choice of wines finding the response at true connoisseurs. The various snack emphasizing nuances and features of a bouquet of each drink is also at service of our visitors. Plant “Enoline” allows to taste some different wine brands for an evening. 2007
Especially for those who likes the bright way of living: gourmets, connoisseurs of wines, for those who likes not only restaurant food, but also cooks excellent meals at home we have opened our own shop. Now we bring those qualitative details and goods which are so pleasant to surround yourself with directly from counties-manufacturers. 2008
2008 was incredibly busy for «Steakhouse» and wrote new and interesting chapter in the history of the restaurant. Celebrating of 10 years birthday passed successfully and very beautifully, leaving most vivid memories to our guests. Another significant event was the opening of the school «Meat & Wine», with Ivan Slinko like a teacher.
But our history is not finished on this. It still proceeds. And you too can write new pages in it. We have already prepared a table for you. We are waiting. As always in the same place on Deribasovskaya. |
